This December, Chestnut Tree House, in association with our friend and supporter, Raymond Briggs, proudly presents for the third time 'The Snowman Spectacular' - our highly acclaimed fundraising ball in Brighton.

'The Snowman Spectacular' will be the fundraising ball you'll remember, professionally produced to the highest standards, simply the best and most glamorous exciting way to start the Christmas season.  It is a fabulous way to entertain clients, reward your staff, treat yourself of simply get a few friends together and celebrate Christmas in style with us.  Plus, you'll be helping us raise vital funds for the only children's hospice in Sussex - Chestnut Tree House.

This is the third year that 'The Snowman Spectacular' has been held at the stunning Brighton Hilton Metropol Hotel. Everyone at Chestnut Tree House would like to say a heart-felt thank you to ALL the hotel's brilliant staff for their enthusiastic assistance, keen professionalism and support. We couldn't do it without you.

STILL DRIFTING featuring RAY LEWIS - Former Lead Singer of THE DRIFTERS

The  Drifters are a group of four singers providing an exciting comeback of R&B music from the 1960’s. Well known to you are hits like ‘Save the Last Dance’, ‘Under the Boardwalk’ and ‘Saturday Night at the Movies’ to name but a few. These are songs which are still frequently heard on radio and seen on TV.

STILL DRIFTING featuring RAY LEWIS with Ray  as Lead Singer and three new members, all of which are well known and accomplished in the music world – Ray Lewis’ Drifters are formed. The repertoire of group consists of many of their old hits from the 50’s and 60’s. Their music is nostalgic but timeless and still popular with audiences of today. Ray Lewis’ group perform not only their own hits but also music from artists such as Barry White, Luther Vandross, Boyz II Men, and The Temptations etc.
 
Ray Lewis is the Lead Singer of this amazing group and is no stranger to the public. He was the Lead Singer of Treadwell’s Drifters in the 1970’s and 80’s and as one of the acclaimed lead singers of this legendary group, working alongside Johnny Moore,  Ben E King, Bill Fredericks etc, he knows just how to revive old hits like  ‘Under The Boardwalk’, ‘Saturday Night at the Movies’, ‘Up on the Roof’, ‘There Goes my First Love’, and ‘More than a number in my Little Red Book’.
 
Ray enjoys world-wide fame thanks to his own unique voice and professional and charismatic aura. Besides his role in group, he is still concentrating on a solo career and has performed to sell out theatres and audiences in venues around the world, having been associated with great names like Carole King, Whitney Houston, Lionel Ritchie, Paul McCartney and Diana Ross. Without doubt, he is one of the world’s greatest entertainers and enjoys a large following.
 
Providing fantastic vocals are also David Lee Andrews, Fil Straughan and Leroy Davis. David hails from California and is an accomplished vocalist in his own right and has been wowing audiences throughout the world with his strong vocals as front man for The Four Tops show. He manages to make his profession look easy with a warm soulful sound and strong persona. Fil is from New York and is an experienced and exceptionally talented individual. Fil’s personality shines as much as his voice soothes. Leroy possesses a smooth range which has benefited him as an immense vocalist for many years. He manages to exude charm whilst drawing you in with the deep resonance of his voice.
 
Put these three highly gifted singers together and they form a tremendous and unbeatable sound behind Ray whilst maintaining their individuality in their solo performances within the show. With all these professional and amazing voices combined -  old times will be resurrected and new experiences – enjoyed, Ray Lewis’ group have become firm favourites with their individual styles to all who see them!
